A cheerful, hand-decorated ceramic sugar pot inspired by Frida Kahlo, featuring Frida’s portrait surrounded by bright marigolds, a little cactus, a tiny bug and pops of red. The sunny yellow glaze brings all the colourful details together, with a built-in spoon rest for easy everyday use.

Originally slip-cast using one of my vintage cup moulds, this little pot has been given a completely new life.

Perfect for sugar, treats or simply adding a little Frida-inspired colour to your table.

Description

Welcome to my world of handmade treasures! Each item is meticulously crafted with love using techniques like pottery wheel throwing, hand building, or casting, predominantly with “Fine White” or “Terracotta” Clay. Occasionally, other clays make their debut, with each noted in their product descriptions.

These pieces come to life with captivating glazes and creative applications, ranging from intricate patterns to charming embellishments. They undergo a meticulous journey, including drying, firing, and glazing, spanning 3 to 6 weeks.

As a potter, my greatest reward is the eagerly anticipated kiln reveal. It’s a moment where unique, handcrafted pieces emerge, each telling stories of passion, dedication, and joy. Behind each item lies memories of the effort and emotion poured into its creation, leaving me feeling victorious and ever-excited to start anew.

Stock on hand

Our items are ready to ship. If any items are out of stock you may order one, or 6 or more and they will be similar – results will never be the same but it will be unique and as close as possible, or you can browse the site for something else just as lovely. However, there will be a lead time for items on back order.
